Flow Cytometry Facility

Equipment:

Beckman-Coulter EPICS XL. This is a four-color flow cytometer equipped with an automatic sample loader. It will detect fluorescent dyes covering the visible spectrum and some near-IR dyes as well. Software is available for data comparison and analysis.

Fees:

Use of the flow cytometer with Julie’s help is $40 per 1/2 hour. Please call at least 24 hours in advance to arrange an appointment and to discuss your experimental design. Users that are more than 15 minutes late are billed for a full hour and are subject to losing their time slot. Time for data analysis and software training is billed at the same rate. Members of the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biophysics receive a discount (Please call for more information.).

We have a fair selection of primary and secondary antibodies and one time or infrequent use of these reagents is gratis. However, specialized or heavily used reagents are the responsibility of the user.
